You can access the blog anytime by clicking on the link from the Message Board page or you can type http://coalitionofcaring.org/blog into your web browser to go there directly.

This is the main page you will see, also referred to as the Blog Homepage. We will cover each section on this page.

The first thing to know is that there are 4 different Categories of topics on this blog site. To help you choose which one to read and/or post under, please read the definitions of each topic below the photo.

Caregiver and Community Chatter - This is a topic where you can have discussions with each other, whether it is to share information and good ideas, let everyone know about an article in a newspaper or magazine, or maybe even find a person to carpool to the conference with. It is up to you. We only ask that you keep your discussion relevant to caregiving.
Caregiver Q&A's - This is the place where to ask specific questions around caregiving.
Conference Ideas - Do you have an idea for something you would like to see at the next conference? If so, we want to hear about it and this is your venue. All suggestions are welcome and will be considered.
Messages from the Committee - This is where committee members will post important messages - volunteers needed, upcoming meetings, fundraiser potluck, etc. Check in often to find out what we are up to outside of the conference.
On the blog homepage, you can click on the Category Title, pictured below is Caregiver Q&A's, to access that topic.

Alternatively, you can click on the Category Title from the menu bar on the left.

Under the Category Title, there is a link that displays how many comments there are under that title. Pictured first is a category with 2 comments, and next is a category with 0 comments.


To read the comments under a category, you can either click on the Category Title or click on the (#)Comments as described above. The comment will display the author, the date and time written, and the comment made.

If you want to reply to the comment made, scroll down on the comment page, enter the information required (Name, Email Address, and Comment) then click the Submit button. Your reply will be posted under the original comment.

If you want to post a new comment, click on the Category Title that is most relevant to your comment, then click Add Comment.

Enter the information required (Name, Email Address, and Comment) then click the Submit button.

It is easy to tell what Category you are visiting by looking at the top left section of the blog window. In the picture below, you can see that the Category Title of this page is Messages from the Committee.

This section also tells you the date and time the category was created.

As well as who created it.

You can get back to the blog home page by clicking the title at the very top of the page, Coalition of Caring Blog, or by clicking the tab that reads Home.

Lastly, you can navigate through the months of comments by using the Archives feature found in the menu bar on the left. You can click through the calendar view or you can click the month and year to go there directly.
