Message from the Coalition Chair:

The planning and preparation for this year's conference has been underway since January.  This year's conference will be once again be held at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, NH.  A block of rooms have been reserved for caregivers at a discounted rate for those who are interested in staying overnight and enjoying some respite.

During the next few months leading up to the conference the Coalition of Caring Planning Committee's work will be in full gear to continue our commitment to provide a conference for caregivers that meets and exceeds our mission statement.

Our Keynoe Speaker, Michael Bloom, has energized hundreds of caregivers with soul-saving coping strategies that support them in saving lives, including their own.  Michael is a Certified Professional Coach and "Caregiving Without Regret" Expert.  He is author of the book, The Accidental Caregiver's Survival Guide: Your Roadmap to Caregiving Without Regret.

The conference workshops this year will once again be both informational and educational to caregivers.  Workshops offered will be posted soon.  Please check back to see the full lineup  of sessions.

Our long standing Mistress of Ceremonies Becky Rule will be telling and gathering her humorous stories with all in attendance!

Of course, we will be offering a hot breakfast buffet, plated Thanksgiving Luncheon, massages, reiki, flu shots, a caregiver exhibitor area and raffles!

In closing I am asking for your help in our conference outrach to fellow caregivers and/or caregiver groups by sharing with them information on this wonderful conference!  Please pass the save the date flyer that can be found on this website to your family, frineds and colleagues and networks as quite a few are probably serving in the role of caregiver.

As Rosalyn Carter eloquently states:

"There are only four kinds of people in the world:

those who have been caregivers;

those who are currently caregivers and

those who will need caregivers."

Take Care,

Ellen M. Edgerly
